Copper Wire Wound RTD Component
The CoRTD34 is a sensing element made of copper wire with copper leads for attachment to connectors. CoRTD34 has a known dependence of electrical resistance on temperature and is intended for use in resistance temperature detectors (RTDs). Protective sheath – PTFE (fluoroplastic) tape thickness 0.007 mm (4-6 layers).
Calculation of nominal static characteristic, $$\alpha=0.00428^{\circ} \mathrm{C}^{-1}$$
For the measuring range from $-180^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$ to $0^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$ :
$$R_{t}=R_{0}\left[1+A t+B t\left(t+6.7^{\circ} \mathrm{C}\right)+C t^{3}\right]$$
For the range from $0^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$ to $+200^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$ :
$$R_{t}=R_{0}[1+A t]$$
where $R_{\mathrm{t}}$ – is the resistance, ohm, at temperature $t,{ }^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$;
$R_{0}$ nominal resistance, ohm, at temperature $0^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$.
The values of constants are as follows:
$$\begin{aligned}
&A=4.28 \cdot 10^{-3}{ }^{\circ} \mathrm{C}^{-1} \\
&B=-6.2032 \cdot 10^{-7}{ }^{\circ} \mathrm{C}^{-2} \\
&C=8.5154 \cdot 10^{-10}{ }^{\circ} \mathrm{C}^{-3}
\end{aligned}$$
Temperature coefficient of the resistance $\alpha,{ }^{\circ} \mathrm{C}^{-1}$ :
Coefficient determined by the formula $\alpha=\frac{R_{100}-R_{0}}{R_{0} \cdot 100 ^{\circ}C}$ , where $R_{100}, R_{0}$ is the resistance value at $100^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$ and $0^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$, respectively, rounded off to the fifth decimal place.
